The Briar Cliff men's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against Dordt on Wednesday evening in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Following a first-half goal from the Defenders, the Chargers rallied in the second to even the match. Dordt opened the scoring in the 26
th minute from a goal by Joseba Zabala, but Briar Cliff responded in the 67
th minute when
Gabriel Hernandez Les scored off an assist from
Alex Johnson to bring the match level at 1-1.
Goalkeeper
Xabier Ilundain played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Cliff, recording seven saves.Â
The Chargers posted 12 total shots, with Hernandez Les leading the way with three and one goal.
Giuseppe Marrix followed with two, and both were on goal.
Briar Cliff moves to 4-6-3 overall and 1-3-2 in conference. The Chargers return to action this Saturday at Faber Field, taking on Mount Marty University. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
