The Charger women's soccer team fell 4-2 to the #22 ranked MidAmerican Nazarene Pioneers on Faber Field Tuesday afternoon.

The Pioneers in the 20
th minute were awarded a penalty kick and looked threatened to score. MNU's Madeline Reeves' cross was a high arcing ball, that led to a Bella Leon shot. Leon's shot was turned away by Jamie Rowlands, but Achaia Day was prepared for the rebound and scored to put the Pioneers up by one.

The Pioneers added two more goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the break.

Late in the second half, BCU picked up the pace, as
Emily Moran fired a shot from the top of the box in the 74
th minute to put Briar Cliff on the board.

In the 74
th minute, the Chargers drew a foul and used it to their advantage to cut the lead to one.
Manu Polachini sent a through ball to
Addison Frisch who fired a shot off the right side for her the Chargers second goal of the match.

In the 85
th minute, the Pioneers went back up by two following a goal from Alyssa Ward to seal the contest.

Jaime Rowlands played all 90 minutes in goal for the Cliff, recording 12 saves. Briar Cliff held the advantage on corner kicks 5-2.

The Chargers will return to action this Saturday, as they travel to Dubuque, Iowa to take on Clarke. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
