The Charger baseball team bowed out of the GPAC conference tournament Friday evening, falling to Mount Marty 9-8.

The Cliff in the top of the inning carded the game's first run after a RBI-double from
Cam Riemer. The Lancers responded in the bottom of the first with three runs.

BCU scored a run in the top of the second after
Easton Cone put the ball in play to score
Jake Chronic.

In the top of the seventh,
Drew Petersen recorded a solo shot to right field, followed by a two-run blast by
Jared Sitzmann. In the top of the eighth, Petersen recorded a RBI-double, followed by
Cy Patterson's RBI single to go up 7-3.
Walker Moore's RBI-double capped the Cliffs scoring.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Lancers scored six runs to steal the game away from the Chargers.

Diego Trujillo went three-for-four at the plate with two doubles in the contest. Petersen and Sitzmann were tied for a team lead two RBIs.

The Chargers conclude the season with a 26-22 overall record.
