Box Score The Charger men's golf team is currently third at the Iowa Central Spring Invite after one round.
"It ended up being a nice day for golf. Cooler morning temperatures gave way to sunshine and warmth later on, said Head Coach Ben Irlbeck. "We started on a difficult stretch of holes considering win conditions. 2 of our first 4 holes were par 3s that played significantly longer than their overall length."
 
Gregorio Fernandez tied for seventh after shooting a +3. Andrew Arndorfer is also tied for seventh. Mason Collins is in 22^nd recording a +7. Desmond Landin recorded a +9. Braxton Brockhaus recorded a +11 in round one.
 
"After turning to the cross and down wind holes, our scores really improved. The flow of the day overall improved and we played the way we are capable of playing," said Irlbeck. "I'd like to see us make up a few strokes early tomorrow and battle for the team title. It is certainly within reach."

The Chargers will return for round two tomorrow morning.
