Chargers Have Two In Top 10

WINDSOR, Colo. – Seniors Kelly Baade and Helene Getz Bergmo finished among the top 10 as the Briar Cliff University women's golf team closed out Battle at the Dance.

The tournament was played at RainDance National Golf Course, a Par-72.

Rocky Mountain College shot + 77 (336-317 =653) to win by seven strokes over Dakota Wesleyan (+84 / 337-323). Rounding out the top five was Doane (3^rd - +94 /340-330 =670), Baker (4^th - +104 /340-340 =680) and Briar Cliff (5^th - +122 /350-348 =698).

Individually, Allison Meyerink (Dakota Wesleyan) shot +12 (81-75 =156) to win by a stroke over Kelsey Heath (Mount Marty) and Connie Jarm (Doane).

Getz Bergmo tied for fourth at +16 (82-78 =160). She led the team with 15 pars and five birdies.

Baade tied for 10^th at +22 (88-78 =166). Baade led the team with 15 pars.

Sophomore Olivia Sorlie tied for 29^th at +40 (88-96 =184).

Sophomore Emma Erickson was 33^rd at +44 (92-96 = 188).

"It was perfect weather conditions on one of the best golf courses in Colorado. I'm very proud of Helene and Kelly for striding out at the end of the season. Kelly had one of her personal best tournament rounds today - she really overcame the difficulty of the course mentally. There are many very intimidating shots and hole locations. Helene returned to her top 5 level of play for yet another event. She hit a couple bumps in the road this fall, but really came on strong the last couple weeks."

Briar Cliff has closed out the fall season.
