Briar Cliff Is Chasing The Leader

WINDSOR, Colo. – Senior Helene Getz Bergmo is among the top 10 as the Briar Cliff University women's golf team has finished Day 1 of the Battle at the Dance.

The tournament is being played at RainDance National Golf Course, a Par-72.

Rocky Mountain College shot + 48 (336) and leads by a stroke over Dakota Wesleyan (+49 / 337). Baker and Doane are tied for third at +52 (340) while Briar Cliff is fifth at +62 (350).

Individually, Laila Saunders (Doane) shot +6 (78) and leads by a stroke over Kadence Fischer (Rocky Mountain College)

Getz Bergmo is tied for eighth at +10 (82). She leads the team with six pars and two birdies.

Senior Kelly Baade and sophomore Olivia Sorlie are tied for 20^th at +16 (88). Baade leads the team with two birdies and Sorlie leads the team with six pars.

Sophomore Emma Erickson is tied for 30^th at +20 (92).

Briar Cliff closes out Battle at the Dance, Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Battle at the Dance.
