The Charger wrestling team took a decisive victory in their GPAC dual against Jamestown 33-12 inside the Newman Flanagan Center Wednesday evening. The Chargers were off to a fast start, taking the first seven weight classes.

"Tonight was a good night for the program, Jamestown came to compete without a question," said Head Coach
Joe Privitere. "Their staff always has them ready and well coached, hopefully we can keep it rolling into Friday night at Morningside!"

The Charger lightweights got it going early, with
Seth I'nama taking a 5-3 decision victory over the Jimmies Elijah Barajas. In the 133-pound clash,
CaRon Watson secured a pin over Isaiah Miller to give Briar Cliff a 9-0 lead.

In the 141-pound bout,
Jarrod Gilliam earned a 10-1 major decision victory over Jace Gobel to give the Chargers four points. At the 157-pound bout,
Ethan Krey took a decisive 19-3 tech fall over Tommy Beringer.
Tyler Fouts and
Ben Peters earned narrow decision victories for the Cliff in the 165 and 174 bouts.
Alton Allen sealed the dual in the heavyweight match, earning a sudden victory 3-2 decision.

The Chargers improve their GPAC dual record to 2-1 on the season. They will return to action this Friday, as they take on cross-town rival Morningside. First bout is slated for 6 p.m.
