The Briar Cliff women's golf team wrapped up round one of the Bent Tree Intercollegiate Showcase on Monday at the Bent Tree Golf Course in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The Charger women prep for round two in third place.
Â
"The ladies started off a little bit slow today", said head coach
Ben Irlbeck. "Thankfully, they were able to find their stride throughout the middle of the round."
Â
ROUND ONE
The Chargers concluded round one with a team score of 339 (+51) and currently reside in third place following round one.
Â

Â
"Helene left a couple shots out there", noted Irlbeck. "Tomorrow, we're looking for her to push the leader and pick up her first win of the season. Grace also had a solid day. I'm pleased with her improvements this season!"
Â
Grace Johanson put together a great opening round as she returned to the clubhouse with the score of 81 (+9). Johanson has a top finish of tied for 21st-place this spring season and currently rests in a solo sixth place after round one.
