Rogers did just that as he knocked out a solo homer in the fourth, pushing the lead to four runs.
Briar Cliff's offense wasn't done just yet as they added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth frame. After a VSCU mistake,
Jake Chronic capitalized with an RBI double. Shortly after, pinch hitter

Game 2 – W, 11-0
Briar Cliff opened slow in game two but managed to keep the game close.
After two scoreless innings, the Vikings struck first, pushing two runs across the plate after a pair of BC mistakes.
The Cliff answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the third.

In the fifth, the Vikings tallied four hits, two of them being doubles. VCSU added two runs in the inning, pushing their lead to 4-1.
BC couldn't respond in the fifth or the sixth, but
Carter Schorg kept the Vikings off the board providing the Chargers a chance in the seventh.
Trailing 4-1, the Chargers had to find way to get runs across. After a Chronic hit by pitch, Allen walk, and
Jared Sitzmann single, the bases were loaded for Rogers, who had three hits in game one. Rogers was walked, cutting the lead to two.
With the bases still loaded, Lange was due up. Lange ripped a two RBI single to center field, knotting the game up at 4-4.
Justin Remar, who entered the game in the top of the seventh, reached base on an error as Rogers crossed the plate, ending the game 5-4 on a walk-off win.
