A loose ball foul called in the remaining seconds of the contest allowed the Bruins to take a 67-65 victory over the Chargers Monday evening in Bellevue, Nebraska. With the scored tied,
Jamison Helmers' three went long, and a foul was called on the scramble. Liam Thompson knocked down his bonus free throws as the Chargers comeback bid fell short.

"We dug ourselves a hole in the first half that ultimately cost us," said Head Coach
Mark Svagera. "We battled back, and I'm proud of our guys for giving us a chance in the end."

Trading baskets early on, the Bruins went on a 8-0 run capped by a layup from Nigel Wilson. The Bruins took a 10-point leading heading into half time. After trailing for most of the contest, the Chargers fought back to within two, as Garett Trapp buried a triple off an assist from
Quinn Vesey. The Chargers tied the game 65-65 with 55 seconds following a
Blake Sindelar free throw.

Matthew Stilwill scored 17 points going seven-for-seven from the charity stripe to lead the Cliff. He had 13 points and was four-for-six in the first half.
Wil Lugar chipped in 12 points and grabbed seven boards in the contest. Blake SIndelar and
Tyrus Eischeid both added nine respectively. Trapp played key minutes down the stretch, tallying seven points and connecting on all of his field goal attempts.

The Chargers move to 9-5 (3-3 GPAC) and will return to action December 30, as they take on Augustana University in an exhibition match. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
