BC volleyball went 1-1 Friday on day one of the College of Saint Mary / United Sports Academy Labor Day Classic in North Sioux City. The Chargers opened the day with a 3-2 loss to Evangel before bouncing back with a 3-0 sweep of Lincoln Christian.

BCs straight-sets win over Lincoln Christian came with 25-21, 25-14, 25-20 set scores.
Tyra Blue had nine kills and a .429 attack rate in that match.
Sami Wasmund was just behind blue with seven kills and a .385 attack percentage. Wasmund also had two blocks.

Tannah Heath notched 12 digs, leading all Chargers.
Jaice Johnsen added five digs and
Abbey Jones had five. Madi Wagaman had 14 assists and
Maureen Imrie added 13 helpers. Imrie recorded four service aces.Â

Abbie Ericson had 16 kills in the loss to Evangel. Heath totaled 18 digs while Wagaman and Imrie had 21 assists each.Â

The Chargers will return to North Sioux City Saturday for day two of the Classic. Match times are at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
