The Charger Men's golf team competed in Elkhorn, NE at the Fall installment of the GPAC Championships. The 36-hole tournament is hosted by Indian Creek Golf Course, a neutral course centrally located in the GPAC region. 

A team score of 300 in round one puts the Chargers in fifth place. Conditions were nearly calm with highs around 90 degrees on the course. 

Mason Collins and Elijah Lamoureux lead the chargers with rounds of 74. Collins fired matching 37s while Lamoureux splits showed 38 followed by 36 on the back nine, with a total of 4 total birdies. 

Shaunak Rama also had four birdies on the day, but also found some trouble with six bogies and one double. Rama's total of seven pars allowed hit to finish at 76, five shots above his season average of 71. 

Freshman Gregorio Fernandez played his last holes at even par to card a 76. He also matched his front and back nine scores at 38. Andrew Arndorfer was the fifth member of the Charger squad and carded a 78. 

"I really look for us to come back tomorrow firing," said Coach Ben Irlbeck. "We really struggled to score today and had a couple very silly double bogies. They guys should find the course a little easier to navigate tomorrow, knowing when and where to attack." 

Morningside leads the team scoring with a ten under par score of 278. Individually, Ryan Rogers (Midland) and Sam Storey (Morningside) lead the individual scoring with a pair of 68s.
