The Charger men's golf team battled rainy conditions in Salina, Kansas Tuesday, and improved their team score by 11 strokes from round two to three. BC placed fourth at the Carmichael Cup after turning in a score of 877 (294, 297, 286).

"The men played through the rain and fought hard to move up the leaderboard," said assistant coach Erik Ingenluifjj "We played steady, but didn't get any birdies to drop. We are in really good form for the national invite next week."

Shaunak Rama continued his steady play in round three, posting a 71 (+1) with two birdies. Rama finished with a 54-hole total of 212 (+2) and tied for fifth place. Out of 69 golfers, Rama's scoring average on the par fours (4.04) was the third lowest.Â

Gregorio Fernandez finished tied for 22nd with his score of 220. He matched Rama's score of 71 (+1) in the third round. Fernandez found success on the par five's, playing them at four-under par over his three rounds.Â

Andrew Arndorfer improved by six strokes from round two to three, firing a 72 (+2) and tied for 26th. He finished with an overall score of 222 and had the sixth best scoring average on par fours at 4.17.Â

Mason Collins finished one stroke off Arndorfer at 223 (76, 76, 72) and tied for 28th. Collins held the eighth best scoring average on par threes at 3.11.

Davess Verdugo shaved eight strokes off his second round score, carding a 72 (+2) in today's round. Verdugo ends his tournament tied for 41st.

Desmond Landin,
Braxton Brockhaus and
Gunnar Bussinger competed individually at the Carmichael Cup. Landin was the top placer tying for 17th with an overall score of 218. Landin was one of ten players to record at least one eagle. Bussinger finished with a final score of 224 tying for 34th place. Brockhaus carded an 81 in round three to finish with an overall score of 233.Â
