Leonardo Davalos put away the game winning goal in the 52nd minute of play to give the Briar Cliff men's soccer team a 1-0 win over Midland on Senior Day. The Chargers improve to 11-5 overall and hold a 9-1 GPAC mark.
The two teams played an even opening half, as the Warriors tallied five shots while the Cliff had four. BC held the edge in corner kicks 3-0.
Leandro Faria made four saves in the first half, with the scored tied at 0-0 going into halftime.
Off an assist from Jake Harvey, Davalos beat the Warrior goalkeeper to score the lone goal of the contest. The Charger defense limited Midland to just shot on goal in the second half to preserve the 1-0 win.

Danny Baca each had a team high two shots, while three other Chargers put at least one shot on goal. Faria made five saves in his fourth shutout of the year.
The Chargers held the edge in shots 14-9, shots on goal 6-5 and corner kicks 4-0.
Liam Brandso and Thomas Crawford led the Warriors with two shots on goal apiece. Matthew Ricci allowed one goal and made five saves.
The Blue and Gold travel to Jamestown, North Dakota Saturday for their final regular season game against the Jimmies.
