The Briar Cliff Men's Volleyball team swept the Lincoln College Lynx (Ill.) in a home match at the Newman Flanagan Center on the Briar Cliff University campus to win their 13th match of the season.
The commanding win happened in straight sets 25-11, 25-4, 25-16 in a match where 15 Chargers saw playing time. The Chargers secured the win in dominating fashion; leading the way for the offensive attack was sophomore
Victor Loya with 12 kills 5 blocks and a .556 attacking percentage.
Brandon Oswald added nine kills and hit a .818 in only two sets.
Codon Robinson followed up his teammates' performance with four kills, four blocks and three digs in two sets. Â
Hunter Miller paced the offense with a season high of 22 assists and three service aces. His counterpart, setter
Timothy Payan Jr. contributed 12 assists and one block on the night.
In the matchup, 15 Chargers were able to step on the court and chip in during the match contributing to the .500 attacking percentage on the night. The team totaled 50 digs to the Lynx's 14 and accumulated 45 kills to their opponent's 8.
Tonight's win kicks off a five match home stand for the Charger men. The Chargers face Saint Louis College of Pharmacy on Saturday March 14 in the Newman Flanagan Center, action begins at 1:00pm.
