Box Score Charger men's basketball dropped a 69-86 contest against Dordt Tuesday in Sioux Center, Iowa. BC falls to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the GPAC, while Dordt improves to 6-2 and 2-2 in conference play.

Dordt jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead three minutes into the game, and BC responded with a quick seven points to tie the contest.
Quinten Vasa hit a 3-pointer with 11 minutes left in the first half to take a 15-11 lead. The Defenders fired back with an 11-0 run, led by seven points from Garrett Franken. Dordt took a 35-28 lead into the halftime break.

The Defenders were in control in the second half, holding a double-digit lead throughout. Midway through the second half
Codey Hicks blocked a Jacob Vis shot attempt and ran the floor for a fast break dunk to cut the Dordt lead to 12.
"Tonight was a disappointing" said head coach
Mark Svagera. "Their early second half run put us in a hole we weren't able to climb out of."

Jaden Kleinhesselink paced the Cliff with 15 points, six assists, and four rebounds.
Andrew Gibb added 10 points off the bench. Vasa and Hicks grabbed five rebounds apiece.
"Moving forward we need to be more consistent in our preparation," said Svagera. "At the end of the day we are fortunate to be playing and need to take advantage of every opportunity we get."

Franken scored 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting for the Defenders and Jesse Jansma added 19 points and four assists.
