BRIAR CLIFF READY TO ROLL

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Briar Cliff University baseball team (18-10 GPAC, 26-20) will be at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament.

The tournament is split into two pods: Crete, Neb. and Seward, Neb. Each pod is double elimination with the pod winners facing each other for the GPAC title and the automatic bid to the NAIA Tournament.

Friday, May 3
Game 3 – Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner – Noon (Winner advances to Pod final)
Game 4 – Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser - 3:00 p.m. (Losing Team Eliminated)

Saturday, May 4

History
This is the fourth straight and 14^th overall appearance in the tournament for Briar Cliff.

The Chargers are scoring 5.62 runs a game while batting .285 with 123 extra-base hits. Junior Cam Riemer has hit 10 doubles, a triple and seven home runs, scored 38 runs and driven in 38 runs with a .306 average. Senior Walker Moore is hitting .294, has scored 30 runs, driven in 24 runs and 23 of his 47 hits have been for extra bases.

On the mound, freshman Logan Borboa, sophomore Carter Schorg and graduate student Kyler Steinborn have combined to go 15-9. All three have struck out at least 44 batters apiece.
